Rebecca Neubauer attended the University of Wisconsin- Madison, where she received a B.A. in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies. Rebecca received a full merit scholarship to attend law school at Chicago Kent College of Law in Chicago, Illinois where she made Dean’s List throughout her tenure and completed three courses in Trial Advocacy. While in law school, Rebecca developed her courtroom presence clerking for the Hon. Elizabeth Budzinski, Cook County Circuit Court, where she prepared judicial orders and opinions in civil cases and gained legal experience working at Chicago-based personal injury firms, assisting in cases ranging from medical malpractice to institutional sex abuse. Her experiences shaped her desire to serve those harmed by violations of their civil rights and injured through the wrongful actions of others.
Immediately following graduation, Rebecca was hired by Romanucci & Blandin, LLC one of Chicago’s preeminent civil litigation firms, focusing her work on medical malpractice, wrongful death, nursing home negligence, construction negligence and other catastrophic personal injury matters. During this time, Rebecca tried several cases to verdict and contributed to many of the firm’s successes including assisting in securing a $38.75 million class action settlement against the City of Chicago for their unconditional red light ticket system; a $30 million dollar settlement for child left permanently disabled with life-altering brain injuries as a result of 25 experimental surgeries; a $12.35 million settlement for the estate of a 37-year-old woman who died after a late breast cancer diagnosis; a $3.35 million dollar settlement as the result of a failure to provide a worker with fall protection; and a $2.6 million settlement for a worker who passed away due to catastrophic burn injuries; among many others. Rebecca was selected as an Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Star, a distinction awarded by peers to only 2.5% of Illinois attorneys, for the years 2018-2020.
Now at Strategic Legal Practices, Rebecca focuses her legal efforts towards consumer protection laws, advocating for her client’s rights with the same tenacity, passion, and dedication as she has throughout her career.
Outside of the office, Rebecca enjoys live music, yoga, hiking, travel, and hanging with her rescue dog, Hersch.
