Background

Marcy attended Occidental College. She graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics. Following college, Marcy attended law school at University of California, Davis-King Hall. During law school, Marcy represented clients through the King Hall Immigration Clinic. She was also a law clerk with the Office of the Federal Defender, Eastern District, where she defended clients charged with federal misdemeanors. She also performed with the Davis Musical Theater Company. She graduated from King Hall in 2006 with a certificate in Public Service Law. Marcy was admitted to the California State Bar in November 2006.

Prior to joining SLP, Marcy worked as an attorney in public interest law, litigating habitability lawsuits and unlawful detainer cases. She is a member of Women Lawyers of Los Angeles.
