Background

Jason Clark attended the University of California, Berkeley where he earned a degree in Political Science, and was a Regent’s Scholar. Jason earned his law degree at the University of San Francisco School of Law, with a certificate in Intellectual Property Law.

In private practice, Jason has advised small businesses to multinational corporations on licensing, contracting, intellectual property law, and records management. Following graduation, Jason worked for two years in the legal department at Google, and later joined Stroz Friedberg (now Aon Cyber Solutions) in their cybersecurity consulting division.

Prior to joining Strategic Legal Practices, Jason served as the Chief of Staff to the Deputy Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and the Deputy Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. There, Jason worked closely with the Deputy Director to implement the policies, priorities, and programs for the USPTO. This included helping to execute the agency’s $3.5 billion annual budget and coordinating the business units overseeing nearly 13,000 employees. Jason also actively supported the Deputy Director’s global communications and outreach efforts.
