Donna Hooper attended University of California, Los Angeles earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology. Donna earned her law degree at University of California, Davis – King Hall where she participated in the King Hall Civil Rights Clinic, advocating for prisoners in federal district court. Donna also served as Editor-in-Chief for the law school newspaper, The King Hall Advocate. After law school Donna joined the Sacramento Public Defender’s Office where she represented juvenile and adult defendants in misdemeanor and felony cases. In private practice Donna has defended businesses, from small businesses to multi-national corporations, in criminal actions as well as administrative actions brought by regulatory agencies. Donna gained experience in civil litigation defending hospitals and doctors against allegations of medical malpractice. Prior to law school Donna worked in film and television commercial production in Los Angeles and New York. In her free time Donna enjoys making jewelry and writing fiction.
